Who is Eligible?
The ‘Science Olympiad Excellence’ category is open to students who have secured gold, silver, or bronze medals in the following international olympiads:
International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO)
Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO)
International Physics Olympiad (IPhO)
International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO)
International Biology Olympiad (IBO)
International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI)
Admission Process
Qualified candidates will be admitted directly to IIT Madras without the need to clear the JEE Advanced exam. Instead, they will have to apply through a dedicated portal where their olympiad achievements will be verified. The seats will be supernumerary, meaning they will not affect the existing JEE Advanced quota.
